Jill, a graduate of Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.E.) and a Minor in Business, joined Royal LePage Atlantic in 1993.

From 1994-2022, Jill has been a consistent award winner receiving Royal LePage's Master Sales, President's Gold, Director's Platinum, Diamond Award, Red Diamond Award and Lifetime Award of Excellence for outstanding sales performance.

Jill is happily married to Kent and is the proud mom of Brent and James.

Jill ran her first marathon, The Bluenose International Marathon, in Halifax in 2005 and qualified for Boston. The next year she fulfilled a life long dream of running the Boston Marathon and was thrilled to complete it in 3hrs 40mins. She has since run Boston in 2007, 2008, 2014 and most recently in 2018.

From 2007 to 2014 Jill was a member of the Halifax Junior Bengal Lancers located in downtown Halifax. She calls it the horse barn in her backyard. She and Kent live just a block away and are enjoying condo living in the Martello on Dresden Row.

In 2014 another life long dream was fulfilled.  Her favourite horse was being retired from the Bengal Lancers.  Jill bought Bucky and is learning so much from him.  Lucky Bucky - Happy Jill!

MARYGWEN STACKHOUSE

MaryGwen, Jill's sister, joined the Jill Ritchie Team in 2002.

MaryGwen is an integral part of the team. She is extremely organized and well versed in information technology, and she enjoys working with buyers and sellers along with Jill.

Before joining the Jill Ritchie Team, MaryGwen worked for many years in the travel industry as a travel agent, which gave her a great opportunity to travel and see some of the world. She has completed a community college course in home building and carpentry - something she has been interested in for many years.

MaryGwen is the proud mom of Gracie and they enjoy living in the West End of Halifax surrounded by wonderful family, neighbours and friends.

Over the course of 8 days in August 2015, MaryGwen had the unbelievable opportunity of joining Royal LePage colleagues from across the country to trek to the lost city of Machu Picchu in Peru while supporting an invaluable fundraising effort initiated by The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation. It wasn't easy trekking at high altitude, sleeping in tents, and going without running water and electricity, but it was an experience of a lifetime and well worth it because MaryGwen was able to surpass her fundraising goal by raising $8500.00 for Alice Housing to help make it easier for women and children to walk safely away from violence.

An animal lover, MaryGwen has always had pets. Schroeder is a 6-year-old Labradoodle and is MaryGwen's faithful companion. They can often be seen walking in and enjoying Halifax's Point Pleasant Park.
